Receiving and Delivery services are for everyone – whether you’re an interior designer looking for your business or are working on a project in your own home! We at Modern Moving, a trusted moving company St. Louis, have helped our clients with customizable receiving, storage & delivery options that suit their individual needs. Do you need to store newly ordered items while your house is still under renovation or maybe you’d like us to receive, inspect and assemble an item because you’re not home? Modern Moving has you covered!
We take the stress out of the receiving and delivery process! Whether you’ve got an entire household’s worth of belongings being shipped, or just one or two items for a client, Modern Moving’s commitment to outstanding quality and service remains the same.
Our Three-Step Designers Process
Every item we receive is unpacked and inspected by our trained receiving team. We check for damage, defects, or inaccuracies immediately. If anything is found, we document it with detailed photos and communicate with you right away to help resolve the issue quickly.
Once inspected, all items are carefully padded, shrink-wrapped, and protected — treated as if they were our own.
Items are stored in one of our private, state-of-the-art storage facilities in St. Louis. Our facilities are:
- Fully secured with video surveillance
- Monitored by a private security alarm company
- Fully insured
- Not shared with outside parties
Your items can remain in storage for as long as needed. When you’re ready, just let us know — we’ll schedule delivery around your timeline.
When installation day arrives, our full-time, uniformed delivery team handles the delivery directly from our warehouse. Each item is carefully transported, placed, and assembled as needed — all with precision and care.
This is white-glove delivery, the Modern Moving way.

$185/hour — two movers (1-hour minimum)
$40/hour — each additional mover
